A Christmas classic that I've watched many times, but never read. And I am better to have read it! While I don't believe I need to be more generous with my definitely real store of riches, this short book provided an interesting look into the London of Dicken's day.

Dicken's prose is very interesting and very different from modern writing. He uses repetition often, not to hammer in a point, but rather in ann effort enliven characters and form inhabitable environments. However, the scene structure seemed to repeat itself unnecessarily within each journey with a ghost. Curious how readers of past eras appreciated slow description more than our technological world. Curious coincidence.

Overall, it was not the most engaging read, but was still worth reading because its Dickens and a classic.
