Now I can say that I finally read The Color Purple after so many years of putting it off. Life just got in the way and I'm so glad that I made the effort to get this one off my TBR list.

The Color Purple is such as touching read and I just loved how it was like reading someone's diary or their letters (almost like reading Griffin & Sabine.)

I admit that I watched the movie a while back; but nothing can take away the lasting impression you get from reading the novel.

Five stars - I loved it -- it was amazing.
