Colony by Benjamin Cross
5.0
Colony is a work of fiction that packs in all the elements of the mystery, thriller, and horror genres. Set in the world's most remote Arctic archipelago, we follow Dr. Callum Ross as he journeys into Harmsworth Island to join an Environmental Impact Assessment team. On the island, the EIA team must conduct a series of studies in preparation for the most ambitious infrastructure project. But there's a traitor on board ready to sabotage the whole project for his own gain.
Also little known to anyone is that the island holds deadly secrets. Secrets born from myths and legends. Those myths and legends just may hold the answers to the mysterious disappearances of the crew and the discovery of a mummified corpse deep in the freezing wilderness.
Colony was a nailbiter of a read. Colorful characters along with a mysterious backdrop in the remote Arctic brought the whole story into a vivid thriller of cinematic proportions. Five thriller stars.
I received a digital copy of the book from Blackthorne Book Tours. The review herein is completely my own and contains my honest thoughts and opinions.
