To start off, I think I want to make it clear that my 3 star review is closer to 4, but I kept it at 3. Overall, I enjoyed the premise and way the story went in parts. What I didn't like was the execution.
More specifically I discovered the author is actually a play-write, which makes so much more sense after reading this, it feels like it should be a show or a stage play. That is good in its own way, but I did not love reading the way it was written.
Once I came to terms with that I could make it through, but I think that probably stopped a lot of people from finishing this. The first story, especially being the lightest in subject of the four, was the hardest to get through. I thought the overall message of the stories were really sweet though.
Although I don't see myself reading the rest of the series, I would watch this on TV or on stage. think it would be much better suited.
