Shark Heart: A Love Story by Emily Habeck

  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix

Such an interesting premise to a book. As someone who works in hospice, I could see a lot of parallel’s between both Wren and Lewis’s journeys and the ones of hospice patients.

I really liked the first part book and seeing how both Wren and Lewis struggled to cope with Lewis’ diagnosis. That being said,
I didn’t care for Angela’s part of the story or Lewis’ part after he fully transformed. I think it would have been more impactful if we didn’t see Lewis after he went into the ocean. It would have been a more true representation of grief and death
