Shark Heart: A Love Story by Emily Habeck
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? Yes

Such an interesting premise to a book. As someone who works in hospice, I could see a lot of parallel’s between both Wren and Lewis’s journeys and the ones of hospice patients.
I really liked the first part book and seeing how both Wren and Lewis struggled to cope with Lewis’ diagnosis. That being said,I didn’t care for Angela’s part of the story or Lewis’ part after he fully transformed. I think it would have been more impactful if we didn’t see Lewis after he went into the ocean. It would have been a more true representation of grief and death
