The Shadow of Glory by D.C. Haenlien, KP Comics Studios, Chris Ford
3.0
Strong, but not as deep as previous.
There are a lot of things that it felt were barely touched, talked about, or explored. As to the chat, I honestly felt "that's it?". I really want to keep liking the inner circle, but with two people being idiots I'm not really a fan. The Gulf between Adelaide and everyone else is becoming enormous. The implications of gross people attracted to children, and the focus on our MC were disturbing. Nothing happens, and it even encourages downfalls but I feel a content disclaimer might be nice. With alk of that, I still really enjoyed the book. I'm curious about grandpa and what influenced his actions, and the super witch, while a short encounter, was fun. I enjoyed the psychological revenge, but the afterward was sad. Maybe I just like poor people better, making their punishment lack any appeal. I am looking forward to the next book, and I hope the author writes for a long time.
