Overview
This is a challenge I am hosting on Litsy (where I am TheAromaofBooks if you want to tag me!!) but anyone is welcome to participate. The challenges for the entire year are below. I have listed them by month and then the item ("January - Silver/Grey Title"). You can either work the entire year all year long, or just try to complete one month at a time, whatever works best for you!
Here is a link to the Canva document that has the bingo boards for each month: https://www.canva.com/design/DAGVO4NctsY/-lGsmflP3sUW9FsAung8hg/view?utm_content=DAGVO4NctsY&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link&utm_source=editor
"The Rules" (These are very loosey-goosey. Use the ones that work for you, bend the ones that don't!)
1. Any item can be either that item on the cover OR the word (e.g., Bed can be a picture of a bed or the word bed) unless the item is on the bingo card in quotation marks (e.g. "A Novel"), which means the prompt can only be filled by finding those exact words.
2. Items can be found anywhere on the outside of the book - front, spine, or back - unless specified otherwise.
3. Some prompts are a broad category and then specifiy "not ____" (e.g. Insect (not butterfly) ) This is if you are playing all the boards for the whole year, because the more specific item (butterfly) is on a different board somewhere. So theoretically you have to find an insect AND a butterfly, and not use a butterfly to check off two boxes. I was basically trying to make it so one item only checks off one box.
4. However, multiple items can be found on the same cover.
5. You can either play one board per month, or play all the boards for the whole year. Although a third option that I think I am going to try is, based on the assumption that I'll make new boards in 2026 as well, I'm going to start January's board in January, and then I have until December 31, 2025, to finish it. I'm going to start February's board on February 1, but I have until January 31, 2026, to finish. So I start a new board every month, but give myself a whole year to clear it. This year I did all the boards all year, but it meant I had tons and tons of prompts getting checked off in January, February, and March, and then not much else the rest of the year. So hopefully starting a new board each month will keep things fresh!! With that in mind, I am setting the end date for this challenge as December 31, 2026.
