Remarkably easy to read (mostly) despite its age (although my edition also had some notes, and since I read digitally I had a built-in dictionary). (I am not a native speaker.) I loved it!

Every time I read/listen to A Christmas Carol I am reminded that this novella is not a quick read. It deserves a slow read to appreciate the beautiful prose, and to re-discover the fact that Scrooge is a hurt person who hides deep pain. Also, Tim Curry's narration in this audiobook is chef's kiss.

Why have I never read this book before? I've seen the movie so many times!
This is such a powerful and hopeful story. I love it. Many life lessons learned through Scrooge. A book to read every Christmas from now on.
