I loved this story from movies and why I havnt read this sooner considering how easy-read it was and short is beyond me! Its beautifully written and shows the real meaning of Christmas in such a perfect way and how we really should be kinder to everyone around us= A fantastic way to end the reading-year on!

Fun read for the holiday, though it can be difficult to get through because of the older language. Not a huge deal in the end, and I found myself really enjoying the supernatural horror elements present in the book that you don't always see in movie adaptations.

Every time I read/listen to A Christmas Carol I am reminded that this novella is not a quick read. It deserves a slow read to appreciate the beautiful prose, and to re-discover the fact that Scrooge is a hurt person who hides deep pain. Also, Tim Curry's narration in this audiobook is chef's kiss.
