A promising debut from a new writer and one that I hope will do *more* than what Martinez attempted to do here. I love the atmosphere and thematic material here, but the execution didn't sit with me as well as it could have been done.

This one sang to the deep pit of anger and resentment in my soul. Will be adding to my shelf of trophies

good read, great themes, but i had difficultly following the writing. i found myself reading and re-reading passages over and over again to make sure i was understanding everything… solid and enjoyable, just not earth-shattering.
